Miley Ray Cyrus's actual name was Destiny Hope Cyrus. Born on November 23rd 1993, in Franklin Tennessee, she was born at Thompson's Station Tennessee by Tish Cyrus. Miley is the youngest of five brothers and sisters, two of whom are older and a younger sister. Their parents gave their daughter the name Miley, in hopes that she would achieve success. The nickname she was given in her childhood, Smiley, due to her cheerful personality, was eventually shortened to Miley. Her paternal great-grandfather was Democratic politician Ron Cyrus. Cyrus started her schooling by Heritage Elementary School in Tennessee. When she was of eight, Cyrus and her family moved to Toronto in Canada which is where Billy Ray, Cyrus's father was a star in the show Doc (2001) on TV. Cyrus began thinking about acting around this point. Her father played her on the screen in Doc (2001). Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003), in which she played an unimportant role, was also a success. Cyrus was the lead character on Hannah Montana (2006). The series tells the story of an adolescent that lives a life that is like a popstar. The show's director was Cyrus' father also acted as her. The show's success led to it was a time of hit songs with sold-out shows and sales for merchandise. Cyrus gained fame when she was a teenager. Cyrus shifted into new roles following the fame and popularity in Hannah Montana 2006. She was Ronnie Miller, alongside Demi Moody in The Last Song in 2010 as well as Lola with Demi in LOL in 2012.
